Shaker Inspired Wall Candle Holder Scroll Saw Pattern

When I say Shaker-inspired I use that very loosely. The Shakers would not have used the ornamentation. It would also likely have been taller for stick candles. They would not have used 1/4" thick wood. This one is 9.5" tall and 6" wide. I think I am saying it is nothing like a Shaker wall candle holder. :)

Please remember that unattended candles can be dangerous. If you have safety concerns then please us battery-powered candles.




The Shakers would have hung the candle holder from a wooden peg. I just used a screw. I was fresh out of wooden pegs.


The construction is all slot and tab design. Clamping for glue-up can be difficult. The is a good place to use both CA glue and wood glue. Use a few drops of the CA glue and activator to act as a clamp while the wood glue dries.
