Heart Ring Box Scroll Saw Pattern.

This heart ring box is only 5 inches wide. It can be used for husband and wife wedding rings or a small jewelry box. The left and right drawers pivot independently on the two pivot
shafts at the top of the heart. The bottom shaft gives the drawers a place to stop and hold the top and bottom together.

The most difficult part of the project is making sure all the holes line up. I give instructions in the pattern to help with that process. There is also a fair amount of sanding to get all the part flush with each other.

The box has a rose decoration on top. I cut it on the scroll saw then decided to test out my new Marathon Micro-motor carving system. The system is a 30,000 rpm power carver is a joy to use. I am clearly not a skilled carver but I was able to add some detail to the rose. This is a new product sold by Bear Woods. As Micro-Motors go this one is priced nicely at $174.50. They are putting together a kit with accessories soon so ask about that if you think you would like to give carving a try.

The carving for this project is obviously optional. You can cut the rose and apply it as fretwork or skip it altogether.

The Marathon Micro-Motor K35-Cube is lightweight and comfortable to hold. It is much more comfortable than a Dremel tool. The power unit has a variable speed control knob. You can set it to run forward or reverse. It also comes with a footswitch.

After I get a bit of practice with the K35-Cube I will try to do a complete review. This was my first attempt with it so I need to use it more to be able to talk about it intelligently. So far I have to say that is is a blast to use. Now I just have to figure out where they put the talent in the box. :)

Personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns:

Progress on orders is going well. Current turn around is about two days. If you don't see your order in your email inbox, make sure you check your spam folder.

The price is $1 per name with a 5 name minimum. I keep the price as low as possible
because I want everyone to have a chance to make these ornaments for family and friends.

You only pay after you have received the order and are
100% satisfied with the patterns. Invoice included with
the pattern email. Pay by credit card(secure Paypal), check, or cash.

The patterns will be emailed to you after they are completed.
Please allow up to a week for delivery.

You can use last names on the ornaments if you like but remember that the more letters the more
difficult they are to cut. Ten letters and up gets pretty small. If you need to you can enlarge the patterns by 10% to make the interior cuts larger. No special characters are supported. I can get a hyphen in there but it looks odd. It has to connect the two letters so it does not just fall out.
