Dasher the Reindeer Scroll Saw Pattern.

 Download Below

When I started drawing this reindeer it was going to be Rudolph. Then I thought to myself that Rudolph gets all the attention. Now don't get me wrong, Rudolph is a fine reindeer. He works hard and has a good attitude but the other reindeer are a big part of the team also.

I went with Dasher. Dasher had a good offseason. He stayed in shape and worked on his technique. I honestly think this could be a break out year for Dasher. I would not be surprised if Dasher ends up receiving the MVD(Most Valuable Deer) award after Christmas.

Keep your eyes on Dasher this season. We could be looking at a changing of the guard if Rudolph does not bring his A-game.

Big News. Bear Woods is giving away a Marathon Micromotor K-35 Cube plus a starter kit: Don't miss this giveaway.

Stephen, over at Bear Woods ask me to let everyone know about a contest he is running right now. The winner will receive a Marathon Micromotor carving tool with an nice accessory kit. This is a $275 value. Just click the link above and you will go to the Bear Woods page where you can enter and get all the details. Do not miss this giveaway. This is a nice tool. This is early Christmas for the winner.

If you will be attending the Artistry in Wood show next month. Bear Woods will be giving away another Marathon Micromotor at the show. This is a separate giveaway from the one above. Stephen is feeling generous right now so take advantage of this is you can attend the show.

I have the Marathon Micromotor K-35 Cube. It is a 35,000 rpm power carving handpiece. Variable speed, foot switch, forward and reverse, and a torque of 3.2 Ncm. I have the accessory kit on the way. When it arrives I will try to get a review out.

The tool has a good feel to it. It is comfortable and easy to hold. The power is good and with the right bits, you can remove wood fast or slow depending on your need.

If you have ever thought of giving power carving a try this is a pretty good value. Compare it to the Foredom K 1070 at over $350.  The Marathon K-35 Cube runs $174.50. That's a big price difference.

Personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns:

I am still making good progress on ornament patterns. I should be able to get caught up today. If you have orders in the queue, keep your eye on your email inbox.

The price is $1 per name with a 5 name minimum. I keep the price as low as possible
because I want everyone to have a chance to make these ornaments for family and friends.

You only pay after you have received the order and are
100% satisfied with the patterns. Invoice included with
the pattern email. Pay by credit card(secure Paypal), check, or cash.

The patterns will be emailed to you after they are completed.
Please allow up to a week for delivery.

You can use last names on the ornaments if you like but remember that the more letters the more
difficult they are to cut. Ten letters and up gets pretty small. If you need to you can enlarge the patterns by 10% to make the interior cuts larger. No special characters are supported. I can get a hyphen in there but it looks odd. It has to connect the two letters so it does not just fall out.

$12 per sheet of 12 coins plus $3.50 shipping
Inlay with a 1" Forstner Bit.
The perfect way to sign your work.
