Everyone has heard of Rudolph. Most people can remember at least some of the other Santa reindeer. We have Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Donner, and Blitzen. Today I want to introduce you to Fred.

Fred is Rudolphs cousin from his mother's side. Fred wanted to be part of Santa's team but he could not pass the physical. You see Fred was born with one leg shorter than the others. Flying was not a problem but takeoffs and landings bumpy at best.

Fred never made that magic trip around the world on Christmas Eve, but there is one interesting fact about him that may be even more important. Fred invented Eggnog. So the next holiday party where they serve eggnog you can share the fact that you know who invented eggnog. Your hosts will be impressed with your culinary knowledge.

Scrollsaw Woodworking & Crafts Magazine: This is not an ad.

Click to order back issues and a subscription.

Folks this is not an ad. This is information that I like to share because the people who maintain the Scrollsaw Woodworking & Crafts Magazine have always supported our community. Their magazine is probably the largest collection of scroll saw information and patterns available anywhere.

If my memory is correct the first issue was the Fall of 2000. That's twenty years of a high-quality magazine that the scroll saw community can be proud of.

A 1-year subscription includes four issues and the US price is $24.99. Canadian and international subscriptions are available for a slightly higher price.

If you would like to enjoy a magazine dedicated to your passion then give Scrollsaw Woodworking & Crafts a look.

You can also purchase back issues at this link.   SSWC Back Issues

Personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns are ready to order:

I am ready to start taking Personalized Christmas Ornament Pattern orders.

I can do first or last names but remember that more than ten letters will be more difficult to cut.

The order form will take up to 20 names for people and 5 names for pets. If you need more than 20/5 then start a second order.

You will not pay until you have the patterns and are 100% happy with them. There will be an invoice sent with the patterns to your email. You will have the option to pay securely with a credit card or send a check to the included address.

I am shooting for a three-day turnaround but that may be difficult for a few days until I get all the kinks worked out. I'll do my best. You can set a bookmark for each of the order forms but I will post them almost every day until Christmas.

$1 per/name with a 5 name minimum.

$2 per/name no minimum.

$12 per sheet of 12 coins plus $3.50 shipping
Inlay with a 1" Forstner Bit.
The perfect way to sign your work.
