Buying our first home is something we will always remember. This pattern is a simple house warming gift for a family member or friend who has made that first special purchase. Just add a custom engraved brass plate with your message and they will have a special memory for their wall.

The 3" X 1" plates will fit both the small and large pattern. There is an 8" and 10" version of the pattern.

Please be safe and careful:

I'm sorry for even mentioning this awful virus but I felt like I needed to say something. Our family has been hit pretty hard with Covid-19. We have had five close family members now diagnosed with the virus. I know that many of you are in the same difficult situation.

One is still in the hospital but seems to be doing better.
Two have recovered but one of those has ongoing complications that are serious.
One has just been diagnosed and is over 80. She is doing well so far but of course, we need prayers.
One is younger and at home recuperating.

Compared to many families we are lucky that the virus has not taken anyone from us. To all of the families out there who are suffering please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Patty and I are doing well but I have to admit that my mind is distracted. We have several other family members who have had close contact with the virus and we are holding our breath.

Writing the blog helps keep me busy and that is welcome but there are days when working is not first on my priority list right now. I know that you are all supportive and understanding but I just want to let you know that I feel the pain that so many of us are going through. God bless all of you.

My goal is to keep the blog as entertaining as possible while we all get through this time. Knowing that I can provide a little something positive to your morning makes me feel useful at a time when I feel insufficient at being able to help my family members who are ill.

It's not my place to try to tell you how to stay safe. I'm not smart enough even if it was my place. I just want all of you to be with us when we can all go back to something close to normal.

Thanks for being out there. You guys make my days better.

Freud 10" x 50T Thin Kerf Combination Blade (LU83R010)

Everyone has their favorite blades. I use The Freud thin kerf combination blade on my table saw. It's not the best blade on the market but it does seem to give me good value for the price.

  • 10" Blade Diameter, 50 Teeth, COMB Grind, 5/8" Arbor, .091" Kerf, 10° Hook Angle
  • Premium TiCo HI-Density Carbide Combination Blend for Maximum Performance
  • Thin Kerf requires less power and allows for faster feed rate
  • Laser-Cut Anti-Vibration Slots drastically reduce vibration and sideways movement in the cut extending blade life and giving a crisp, splinter-free flawless finish
  • Perma-Shield Non-Stick Coating reduces blade drag, protects the blade from corrosion and pitch build-up.
