Kinetic Art has always fascinated me. The hypnotic movement is relaxing and satisfying. This is a very simple piece of kinetic art. Even though it is simple, the motion is not.
It is driven by a 12VDC 3RPM motor.
The motor is powered by a 12DC 2A power supply.
Both parts together are under $20.

Let me stress one more time. Building a project with motion can often require tinkering. The rubber band drive belt may be slightly different and necessitate alterations of the distance from the motor to the shaft. You may decide to completely change the stand and make it a wall-hanging piece of kinetic art.
The primary part of the pattern is the spirals. There are two of them and they are identical. They can easily be stack cut to save a lot of time. The spirals do take a while to cut. There are a lot of inches of cut in all the spiral arms. It took me about 45 minutes.
