Fence Plank Gnome Welcome Sign.

I think this looks better than my stain.


This fence plank welcome gnome sign is over 30" tall. The fence plank was cut down to 24" long. The pattern for the gnome head is very simple with only one interior cut. 

I was attempting to make the gnome look weathered and old with the dark stain. It did not come out as well as I would have liked. I think I should have used three different colors of stain or paint. There needs to be more contrast.
