This pattern is just over ten inches tall. There are two layers. I am showing the back layer painted red in the simulated image above. The pattern calls for 1/4" thick wood. I would probably use Baltic birch plywood.
There are some small interior cuts in this project. I tried to make sure they could all be drilled with a 1/16" diameter drill bit.
There are quite a few folks who collect butterfly art and decorations. I think this would look nice in a kitchen or bathroom.
Craft Show Season:
The start of Fall is generally considered the start of the craft show season. Fall is only a few days away so it is time to find the shows in your area. I'm sure the shows will still be Covid limited this year but being vaccinated and the event being outside, makes me confident enough to attend. Famous last words.
Because I am new to this area I wanted to find some shows. I typed "craft shows near me" into Google.
That brings up Google's Event search. You will get a few listed on the search page. Then click the link that says "Search more events" to see a longer list. You can click the event to get a map and a short description.
If you are comfortable being around crowds during the pandemic, then you should find a least a few shows in your area with the Google Events search.
