Wooden Ball Scroll Saw Pattern.

This wooden Ball was cut on the scroll saw. This ball is a series of 21 disks glued together and sanded into a smooth ball. Why? I don't know but I had fun making it. :)

You want to sand the ball smooth and as close to a perfect sphere as possible. You could hand sand this but it will be a long process. I used power sanding and hand sanding until I got it where I wanted it.

Each disk has a center hole of 1/8" diameter drilled for an indexing dowel. You will need a 1/8" dowel.

You will want to stack cut the disks to speed the cut up. You may want to cut just outside the pattern line of the circles then sand down to the line after they are cut. They really don't have to be perfect but it makes the sanding easier if they are close.

This could be handy to have if you were making a game of some type. The ball is 2.5" diameter.

Measured both directions.
