This pattern comes in two sizes. The large pattern is 10.25" tall and The small pattern is 7" tall.
A few weeks ago I started using an animation to show the parts of some patterns. I am hoping that the animation makes it more clear how the project fits together. The program I am using is quite complicated so I am still learning how to get the best effect.
The animations generally take me an hour or two to set up and render so let me know if they are helpful or not. I have still not decided if they are worth the time and space they take up. On slow internet connections, they will slow down the download of the page a little. The animation above is nearly 3 megs.
So far the feedback from the animations has been positive but only a few have commented. Most of the commenters have also wanted to know what software I am using to create the animation. It is a 3D graphics program named Blender. ( https://www.blender.org/ ). The learning curve of Blender is brutal but I am finally starting to understand the basics enough to get the simple animations set up.
I have followed Stumpy Nubs YouTube channel for years. He is an excellent woodworker and easy-to-understand teacher. I wanted to share his recent video because it is full of great and simple information about measuring tapes. There is a pretty good chance that you will learn more than a couple of new tips from this video. I learned several.
