This pattern has four layers, It comes in two sizes. The large pattern is 8" tall and the small pattern is 6" tall. As I was designing the pattern, the cat's frown reminded me of Tom from the Tom & Jerry cartoon. I had two cartoons that I considered favorites as a child. The Roadrunner just slightly edges out Tom & Jerry for me.
This pattern is not a representation of the original Tom & Jerry characters.
Tom & Jerry made their debut in 1940. You can watch the video below. They were originally named Jasper and Jinx but were later renamed by viewers of the cartoon.
As an example of how popular Tom & Jerry is, this YouTube cartoon from the WB Kids channel has 247 million views. I bet more than a few of those views are adults being nostalgic for their childhood cartoons.

I use software to monitor the price of several items on Amazon. The DeWalt DW788 scroll saw jumps all over the price range. Today I was notified that the price has dropped to $379. That is a really good value for this scroll saw. It was $579 just a few days ago. This is sold through Amazom by DeWalt. It is not a third-party link and it does not show that it is refurbished.
The DeWalt DW788 is probably the most popular mid-range scroll saw ever sold. I bought my first DeWalt back in 2006 and immediately fell in love. I had been using an entry-level scroll saw and had no idea how much better a scroll saw could be until I set up my new DeWalt. This saw turned me from an occasional scroller to be much more serious about the hobby. It is the reason I decided to blog about scroll saws.
There are better scroll saws on the market but at more than double the cost. If you are looking to upgrade from an entry-level saw then this is a great option if this is within your budget range.
