Summertime is here and it is always nice to sit out on the deck and drink a cool beverage. This can koozie kit will give you something to hold that drink. You can even add a custom name.
I do not normally create patterns that use 1/8" thick wood but today I am making an exception. 1/8" thick wood is not easy to cut and with the exception of plywood it is hard to find 1/8" thick wood.
As you can tell from the image above, I cut this custom name can koozie with a laser. It can be cut with a scroll saw but you may want to stack cut when possible to make the cut easier to control. This wood does not provide much resistance to the blade and it is easy for the blade to run away from you. By stack cutting to add more resistance.
This is a complete kit to make can koozies with custom names. In the photo below you see that I have included the complete alphabet for the slats. You have up to 9 slots for the letters. One slot is reserved for the handle. Just cut ten slats with the desired name or initials.
