I have two patterns for you today. The geese pattern is 13" X 10. It can be cut from any thickness of wood you like but for framing, 1/4" thick Baltic birch plywood is probably the best choice. You can stain or paint the backer board for visibility.
The love birds are 8" wide and cut from 1/4" thick wood.

This video has nothing to do with the scroll saw but the work was so beautiful that I wanted to share the video.
This carving is from the DWoodart Studio in Vietnam. They are a group of Vietnamese artists who wish to bring the art of wood carving to more people. Here is a link to their Facebook page. Here is a link to an article showing more of their large work.
The carving in this video took a year to complete. Several artists worked on the project. The video is a little over five minutes. Enjoy.
