I have two patterns for you today. The toy car is a layered pattern. It uses 1/4" and 1/2" thick wood. If all you have is 1/4" then just cut two each of the 1/2" layers. I added very little detail to keep the pattern simple. It does require a 1/4" diameter wooden dowel for the axles.
The snowman door topper is cut from 1/2" thick wood. You can substitute just about any thickness of wood for this pattern. Use what you have. Double-sided tape comes in handy for these door toppers. Apply the tape to the top of the door frame and not to the wall.

With that said I want to point out that the DeWalt DW788 is currently on sale on Amazon for $399. The DW788 has been on the market for several years. I think I bought my first DW788 back in 2006. I had other entry-level saws before the DeWalt. When I got the DeWalt setup I was amazed just how much better it was compared to those earlier saws I owned. I was hooked.
All these years later I still have that saw and it runs like new. I am lucky to have other high-end saws so I don't get the chance to use the DeWalt much any longer but I would have no problem going back to it if needed. Keep in mind that the high-end saws are three times the price of the DeWalt so they are better built machines. The DeWalt can hold its own with those saws about 90% of the time. It simply runs circles around any of the entry-level saws on the market.
If you own an entry-level saw and are looking to move up and are on a budget then the DW788 is a great option. The DeWalt sells for over $600 at Woodcraft so that gives you an idea of how good the Amazon price is. I have no idea how long the price will last so check it out soon.

I am taking orders for this year's personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns. The price is the same as always. Five names minimum for $5. $1 for each additional name.
The order form will accept up to twenty names. If you need more than twenty then start a new order form. PLEASE double-check the spelling of names. PLEASE, make sure that you select an ornament style for each name entered. After the order form is complete scroll to the bottom and hit the SUBMIT Button.
I will complete the order and email you the patterns as a PDF just like all the patterns in my catalog. You will not need to pay for the patterns until they are delivered. If you are pleased with the patterns there will be a payment link in the email. There will also be an address to send cash or check payments
My goal is to complete the orders within three days. As the holiday season gets into full swing I may need more time. I will keep times posted on the blog.
