The Einstein pattern calls for 3/4" thick wood. I am listening to the audiobook. "Parallel Worlds: The Science of Alternative Universes and Our Future in the Cosmos" by Michio Kaku. The book was published in 2006 so some of the material is outdated but still fascinating. Amazon Link. If you are a science buff you will enjoy this read. Kaku is excellent at teaching advanced subjects to non-scientist-level readers.
The book covers many subjects including the big bang theory and quantum physics to name a couple. If you can wrap your mind around quantum mechanics, I bow down to you. Infinite parallel universes, quantum entanglement, and time travel are so far over my head that it is not funny. Even with it being over my head the book still holds my attention because Kaku keeps it light.
I was motivated by the book to make the Einstein Pattern. Not sure how many of you will want this pattern but maybe a science teacher for their class room.
