I am about as far from a gambler as they get. I rarely do any gambling but the only thing I have against it is that I am a cheapskate. I saw a couple I follow on YouTube do a silly event and I will try it myself.
They have more bucks than me so I am going to spend a lot less but I think my wife and I will have fun. They spent $1,000 on scratch-off lottery tickets. Their goal was just to have fun and film a video.
I am going to do the same thing only with $100. I don't need to do a video but I will donate part of any winning to my favorite charity. My favorite charity happens to be me, building a craft room for my wife. She is working on ideas for the room so I am about ready to get started with the project. The bad news is that if I lose the $100 I still have to give the lost cash to my wife. She's worth it.
