Second Pattern Today
I have two patterns for you today. The first is an inspirational message that says Kindness Inspires. The pattern is two 1/4" thick layers. It is 10.25" wide.
The second pattern is a U.S. 4th of July pattern that has a few interior cuts that are fairly small.
Hard Puzzle Game
It may be me, but I find this puzzle game difficult. In most of the games I make, I have a lot of say in how the game looks and plays. In this case, I let AI take complete control. Other than correcting bugs, I did very little. The original prompt simply stated to create a unique puzzle game and make up the rules of play.
The concept is to match the pattern on the lower left, on the game grid. You do this by flipping the tiles with your mouse. Here is the catch. When you click a square, it changes that square to the opposite color; it also changes the two squares directly above and below, and left and right. The instructions in the game show you how this works.
Now, here is some good news. In the upper right corner, there is a HINT button. That button can be used every time, all the way to completing the puzzle. That is an excellent way to learn. Click HINT, then click the highlighted square, then repeat until the puzzle is solved.
Every puzzle has a solution, but I have not finished one without a hint yet. By the way, the HINT starts the game from scratch with the same pattern, so it only kind of helps your next move.
I have found a technique to solve the top six rows, but it does not work for the bottom row. I'm still working on that part.
I may not be seeing errors in this game because I cannot solve it. I think it works because the computer solves it every time. If you find a winning technique, let me know. If you find bugs or a game flaw let me know that as well. Enjoy.
