Second Pattern Today
This shadow box is 9" tall and 5.5" wide. There can be as few as five layers and as many as nine layers. The difference in layers is caused by your decision on how many spacer layers you want to add for depth. In the image above, I have five pattern layers and four spacer layers. It is fine to remove the spacer layers completely if that looks good to you.
My goal was to get the pattern cut with all four spacer layers on a 24" X 24" X .25" plywood board. I made it, but you need to be very careful with the layout. If you plan to use all nine layers, then you probably need to plan on more than one 24" X 24" board.
The candle/flower holder is 8" wide and will hold up to a 6" diameter candle. 5" or 5.5" is probably a better fit. Please consider an electric candle for safety. The project is cut from 1/4" thick wood and is slot and tab construction.
