The Piggy Bank pattern is cut from 3/4" thick wood, and you will also need some 1/8" thick Cast Acrylic. You can cut cast acrylic on the scroll saw. Here is how I do it. Sandwich the acrylic between two sheets of Baltic birch plywood. Wrap the stack in painter's tape. Now apply the pattern on top of the painter's tape. I use a #3 blade. I just find that the smaller blade gives me a smoother cut with acrylic. The common problem when cutting acrylic the that the heat from the blade tends to remelt the cut and can fuse the cut back together. Cast Acrylic seems to be less heat sensitive, so I use that.

The piggy bank pattern is over 9" long, and the cavity is 2.25" thick, so the bank will hold a fair amount of coins.

The garden gnome is over 8" tall. He would look better with some paint, but I ran out of time.

Per Google: Gnome colors typically involve earthy tones for skin (tan, brown, gray) and vibrant, primary colors for clothing, especially red hats, along with blues, greens, yellows, and whites for shirts/pants, reflecting nature and folklore

Triple Bounce Game

I call this game Triple Bounce. Easy to play, difficult to master.

You have a mouse-controlled paddle at the bottom of the screen.
A ball drops from the top of the screen, and all you have to do is bounce the ball off your paddle three times, and that ball goes away. That round ends. Now the next round, you do the same thing, but there are now two balls that each need three bounces. Next round 3 balls, then 4, then 5, etc. My best score is 10 rounds and 21,370 points. I held my breath for the last three rounds. 😖
