Sore hands? Try this blade removal tool.

If you own a DeWalt DW788, Delta 40-695 or an Excalibur brand of scroll saw this may be helpful to you. In the following video I talk about a problem many owners of these tools have. Your hand gets fatigued from using the blade release thumb screws. The thumb screws are just too small to be comfortable. If you have arthritic or injured hands the thumb screws often cause discomfort.

I show several options I have tried over the years and a new tool that will work on any of the brands mentioned. The good news is that the tool is super easy to make and pretty cheap. You may even have the supplies you need in your scrap box.

Watch the video and it will show you everything you need to know. The pattern download button for the tool is below.
