Scrollsaw Workshop: Dragonfly Scroll Saw Pattern.

This dragonfly art has a 14.5 inch wingspan. The wings are 1/8" thick and the body is 1/2" thick. You can add the optional wire legs so he stands or eliminate the legs to hang it on the wall.

With so many interior cuts on the wings, you want to stack cut to save time.

LED Replacement Light Bulb for the Stock DeWalt DW788 Lamp:

I have been asked this question a few times over the years. This week it came up twice so I thought I would post what I found.

An optional lamp for the DeWalt DW788 scroll saw has been available for years. They come with a regular incandescent light bulb. When the bulb fails many folks would like to replace it with a cooler LED bulb. These bulbs are sometimes hard to locate.

This LED bulb is a perfect fit. It produces 280 lumens at 4 watts. It is equivalent to the 25 watt bulb that came originally with the lamp. I don't remember how many lumens the original bulb put out but this bulb is close. It may be slightly dimmer but not by much and it seems fine to me.

The expected life of this LED at 3 hours a day is 22.8 years. My goal is to live long enough to buy another one. :)
