Countdown the 25 days of December until Christmas. This hanging Christmas countdown sign is 10.25" wide. The number plates hang on 1/4" wood dowels. I am showing the backer board painted red in the simulated image above. It probably does not need paint but it helped show the pieces better.
Here is a thought. Some of you won't be able to be with your grandchildren this Christmas. Make one of these countdown plaques. Every day of December, take a picture on your phone of the updated number of days. Email it to your grandchildren with a nice note.

A few of you may find this useful. It is basically just a page I use to search for things on my blog but it is available to the public also.
I have been writing blog posts since May of 2007. There are currently 4,137 posts. This is simply a list that gets updated every time I post. The list shows the date of the post, a brief description, and a link that directs you to that post. 99.9% of the posts include a free pattern. The title will often tell you what the pattern relates to.
The only issue is that the list is so long that it takes a while to populate. Once you see a number after the Total Posts title the list is completely updated.
Set a bookmark and you can search it for keywords when you are looking for something.
