The Love Jesus Nativity is a large pattern. It is 13" wide just to keep the interior cuts large enough. To make the smallest interior cuts, you will still need a 1/16" drill bit and at least a #5 blade.
The Scart Witch pattern, 8" wide and 9" tall. It has two 1/4" thick layers.
The scroll saw is perfect for making Christmas gifts because it lets you create all kinds of cool, personal things for both kids and adults. You can cut out fun shapes, toys, and puzzles that little ones will love, or make ornaments, name signs, and keepsakes that mean a lot to grown-ups. Store-bought gifts are nice, but there’s something special about getting a handmade piece that shows time and care went into it. With a scroll saw, you can whip up gifts that are unique, thoughtful, and full of holiday spirit.
I understand that a few of you think your handmade gifts will not be appreciated. That is almost always an incorrect assumption, and this is especially true during the Holiday season, when handmade gifts are even more special. Do not obsess over the tiny mistakes you make. These are handmade and do not need to be perfect.
I am going to give you two ways to make simple gifts for family and friends. The first is to visit my online catalog. There are thousands of free patterns in the catalog, and many are beginner difficulty. There are categories for different types of projects, so pick a category that interests you and look. The Baskets category has some nice and not too challenging projects. They look way more difficult than they are to cut. The Toys Category is another great place to find a pattern for the little ones.

A second idea for gifts to make is my Personalized Christmas ornaments. If all goes well, I will start taking orders the first week of October. I may be a little slower this year because of some doctor's orders, but I plan to take the orders and get them completed ASAP. Here is a look at the ornaments from a couple of years ago. This year's ornaments won't be the same, but this gives you an idea of the style.
I do my best to keep the price low. I have a five-name minimum per order for $5 and then $1 for each additional name on that order. I have done these for years, and they have always been a popular item.
