This project is over ten inches tall. You can change the wood thicknesses from those in the pattern and leave off the backer board if you like that better.

A good friend of mine in the scrolling community is Charles Dearing. Charles has begun an online live video stream about our hobby. He is just getting started but I think the show has tons of potential and when he ask me to participate I jumped at the chance. Last night I joined the live show and and we spent over two hours talking shop. That's right the video is over two hours long. Unfortunately my video crashed at the first of the show so I missed several minutes but when I got back on the technical troubles seemed to smooth out and things went well. Here is the link to Charles youtube channel. You can watch the show live from his channel home page.
The show includes a panel of folks plus an audience of viewers. The viewers can ask questions by posting under the video on Youtube.com. Charles had around 70 people in the audience last night and I know that number will grow as the shows go forward.
If you enjoy the show Charles is doing them every Saturday night at 8:30pm Eastern Time. I will try to post the location every week so you will have the information needed to join. If you would like to see a replay of last nights show I am including the video in this post. Thanks Charles.

Think Safety
Remember to keep the safety of yourself and others in your work shop in your thoughts at all times. Always wear eye and ear protection. Follow all the manufactures warnings that came with your power tools. If I demonstrate something on this web site that you don't feel is safe, don't do it. Your safety is your responsibility. Fingers are handy things, try to keep all of them.
