I have two music-themed patterns today. The first pattern is a simple violin model. The violin pattern comes in two sizes. The large pattern is almost 15" long. The small pattern is 7.5" long. I did not try to add strings to the model but you can give it a try for a little extra realism.
The second pattern is a "Music Soothes the Mind" plaque. It is an 8" plaque. I included an image of the sheet music to add between the layers. The sheet music is optional but I think it adds to the project.

Several years ago I decided I wanted to learn to play finger-style guitar. I thought I wanted to learn the Chet Atkins style. I found a very good teacher and went to my first lesson. I explained what I wanted and he said he would be happy to teach the method but he had a request.
He said I would develop my skill better if I learned to read music. He suggested that he teach me the basics of classical guitar first. I agreed with some skepticism and we started lessons. I almost instantly fell in love with classical guitar. I never got very good with the guitar but I did study for a couple of years. What I did get was the knowledge that when I feel blue I can play one of my classical guitar CDs and feel better.

Music can have a positive, immediate impact on our mental state; fast tempos can psychologically and physiologically arouse us, helping energize us for the day."
