Pets just kind of work their way into your life, and before you know it, they feel like family. They’re always there, wagging their tail or purring in your lap, just happy to be with you. It’s fun having a pet around—playing with them, talking to them like they understand every word, or just hanging out while they nap next to you. They make the house feel less empty and give you something to smile about on a rough day. Sure, they can be a little work, but the love and laughs they bring make it more than worth it.
We got our dog, Holly, almost 12 years ago. She has absolutely made our lives better. My wife had to retire early because of an injury, and I got Holly to help keep her company while I was still working. Her name is Holly, because she was a Christmas present for my wife.
She had just been weaned from her mother, so we got her early. That was good because it gave her plenty of time to get us trained. She has considered herself the boss since the early days. She is a little spoiled but is also well-behaved when she wants to be. She can also be a bit stubborn. She often will not eat the last bite of food because she knows Patty will fuss at her to clean her plate. Nope, that last bite is not going to happen.
We have neighbors on both sides who have dogs. Holly loves to go out in the backyard and bark at them. When I fuss at her for barking too much, she comes over to where I am sitting and gets in my lap. The first thing she does is reach up and give me a kiss. She goes back to barking, and I often just give in unless it's getting late. Like I said, she has us pretty well trained.😁

I like these stylized animals. They seem to have a fun personality.
This is a little out there, but worth sharing.
This started out as an experiment. I get asked often to review a tool or product. I turn 95% of them down simply because they do not align with what I do on the blog. The exception to this is the lasers I have reviewed. I do those because so many laser operators use my patterns. Because I turn so many away, I am sure I miss some good stuff that may be worth the review. And earn me some money.
Now, for this experiment. I asked Google Studio AI to do a comparison review of the DeWalt, Jet, Seyco, and Pegas scroll saws. If I can get reliable, even 90% accurate reviews, then I may be able to make better choices in what I review.
I was expecting low detail and inaccurate features in the review. I was very surprised because it was more accurate than I expected. The main area of inaccuracy was the price comparison. They were not totally accurate, but close. The rest of the information was pretty good, even with a little fluff included.
Don't look at this audio as a review that is 100% accurate. Look at it as a way of getting some details to see if it is worth looking closer at. Have a listen if you want, and let me know your thoughts and any inaccuracies you hear.
