Drug Free Scroll Saw Pattern.

The response to yesterdays AA pattern was pretty incredible. It was not the most downloaded pattern of mine for a single day but it was close. That's wonderful. Wonderful? Yes it's wonderful because it means many of those people who downloaded the pattern are either now sober or know someone who is. They are celebrating life as a sober person.

My email inbox exploded this morning with people thanking me for the pattern. 26 years, 15 years, 3 months sober. These folks were successfully living sober. I doubt many of them were successful on their first attempt. I sure most of them will tell you it was not easy. Obviously they kept trying. They are still working to be sober. They always will have to work at it. My hope is that if alcohol is causing a problem for you keep trying. It might not be easy but you are worth the effort.

Another unexpected series of email came from people who are now living drug free. They ask me not to forget to include their celebration. There is a less well known group named Narcotics Anonymous. At least it was less well known to me. They also have a logo that members look to for inspiration. The logo is trademarked by their group. Because of this I cannot use the logo as part of a pattern. It's important for corporations and groups to protect their property. I know many of you asked me to make this pattern and I wanted to explain why the pattern does not include the NA logo. I hope you will find this pattern useful in your celebration of life.

Thank all of you for the email. I am sorry that so many emails are going unanswered right now. I am doing my best to read them all. I'll answer as many as I can.

Random Request.

I am looking for a good condition used Tektronics oscilloscope. I prefer the Tektronics brand but would consider another brand if the price was right. Something like a Tektronics 2215a would be great. I want one that is ready to run with cables. Manual would be nice but I can pick one up online if it's not available.

I am setting my electronics bench back up and I want decent test equipment but on a budget. If you have anything you would be interested in parting with drop me an email. Sorry for the off topic post but thanks for looking.

Alcolohics Circle and Triangle Symbol of Recovery Scroll Saw Pattern.

Alcoholism is a problem that devastates millions of lives every year. I have personally been touched by this disease in a close family member. It changed my life in ways I almost don't understand myself. I found myself helpless to help someone I loved. I think most of you who have had someone close who is an alcoholic will understand just how helpless you feel. Most of us are just not equipped with the skills to tackle something this complex.

In my case I took part in several Al-anon group meetings. They were incredibly enlightening and allowed me to understand what my role in my family members recovery really was. Up until that point I thought if I just tried a little harder I could talk them out of drinking. Trust me that don't work. If you have a family member who has an alcohol problem or if you are fighting the disease then please take advantage of the help that is available.

Alcoholic Anonymous can offer help. This pattern is to celebrate your months/years of recovery. The AA Circle and Triangle is no longer used by AA as an official logo. It is my understand that they placed it in the public domain and told members they could continue to use it as a symbol of their recovery if they desired. I researched it's use and it appears to be okay. If you know otherwise please let me know and I will remove the pattern. If you make this project I suggest you do your own research if you plan to use it in a commercial environment.

The pattern book has a pattern for months and years. The Year pattern does not have the number but I included a template of numbers so you can customize it for your needs.

Think Safety

Remember to keep the safety of yourself and others in your work shop in your thoughts at all times. Always wear eye and ear protection. Follow all the manufactures warnings that came with your power tools. If I demonstrate something on this web site that you don't feel is safe, don't do it. Your safety is your responsibility. Fingers are handy things, try to keep all of them.
