It is difficult to believe that we are just about to hit the holiday season for crafters. We must start early to prepare for craft shows and gifts for family and friends. About the middle of September, my hours will go from 4 to 5 hours days to 8 plus hours days working on the blog. Some days I get a little burned out, but I love the work so much that I snap out of it fairly quickly.
I should have the Personalized Christmas Ornament patterns ready to order in the next week or two. I started taking these orders ten years ago and have done around 4,000 to 5,000 each year. These are where all the extra hours of work come from for me. Again, I love the work and the income from the ornaments helps keep the blog funded. Keep your eyes on the blog for more details soon.
Today's Nativity Pattern is not going to be too difficult to cut. It may take some time but there are really not that many interior cuts. I also kept the detail to a minimum on the figures. The manger part of the pattern is over 11" wide so this will be a nice large set when all the figures are added.
The Jesus and the Lamb pattern is 7.5" tall. It is also cut from 1/4" thick wood. You can use 1/2" thick for the base if you like that better.
$12 per sheet of 12 coins plus $3.50 shipping
Inlay with a 1" Forstner Bit.
The perfect way to sign your work.

Today we have two fishing patterns. The mounted Bass pattern is 13" wide. It is a layered pattern with different thicknesses of plywood. The bass is mounted onto three 1/2" wooden dowels so it stands off of the mounting board.
The flying eagle has just caught lunch and is flying in front of the sun. The pattern is two layers and 11.5" tall. You can use 1/4" for both layers or substitute 1/2" for the eagle so it stands out better.

The first pattern of the hunter is called a camo. Using tree branches as part of the art is not my idea. I saw a pattern of a couple embraced that was drawn with branches. I decided to try my hand at the idea and developed the hunter pattern. The pattern is 14" wide and 10.23" tall. There are two 1/4" thick layers. This will not be an easy cut so use a good quality plywood like Baltic birch to help prevent breakage. If you break a branch off don't panic. Find it and when you glue the piece to the backer board you will be able to add the branch back.
I have two Mermaid patterns for you today. Both use 1/4" thick wood. The shadow box pattern has four layers that are 10" X 8". The mermaid seated on a rock is 8.5" tall.
