This box is 8" wide and slightly over 10" long. There are two, 3/4" thick layers for the box walls, but if you need more depth, cut more wall layers.
This is a box that just happened when I sat down to work, so it may not have a specific purpose. I can see it as a gentleman's entry door box for keys, watches, and a wallet, or a bedside box. If you know someone who has card parties, then they may keep their decks and chips in the box. It would be easy to add dividers if needed.
How to choose the right Scroll Saw for you
I get this question a lot, and honestly, it can take me over an hour just to go through all the different scroll saw options out there. So, I put together a short audio file—it's under twelve minutes—that gives a pretty detailed breakdown of the choices. I made it an audio recording so you don’t have to sit and read through a long post.
There are a couple of groups who might find this helpful. If you're buying your first scroll saw, this will walk you through the basics and beyond. And even if you already own a scroll saw, you’ll probably still find it useful. Why? Because chances are, someone has asked you how you made a project. After you show them your scroll saw, they seem interested and start thinking about getting one themselves. This audio saves you the time of explaining everything—it covers different levels of saws, features to look for, and what kind of prices to expect.
How to download the audio file:
When you click the player graphics above, it will open another tab with the player on that page.
You can play the audio by clicking the play button, but you can also download the file to your computer by clicking the three dots at the right end of the player and selecting download. I recommend you do this on a PC and not a smartphone. Now, when someone asks you which saw they should buy, simply play this audio.
