Walk With Jesus Scroll Saw Pattern.

Download Below

This Walk With Jesus art comes in two sizes of patterns. The small one is just under 10" tall. The larger one is almost 14" tall.

I did not cut this pattern. I am showing the simulated project with Jesus painted black on a clear pine backer board. I did this for the clarity of the image. You can leave the whole piece natural if you prefer. I would probably use two species of wood for contrast.

Woodworking Extravaganza, Sponsored by Klingspor's Woodworking Shop, Hickory North Carolina:

Sorry for the late notice. I just made arrangements to attend the Woodworking Extravaganza on October 25 and 26, 2019 in Hickory North Carolina.

The event is held at the Hickory Metro Convention Center, 1960 13th Ave Dr SE. Hickory North Carolina 28602.

I will be there both Friday and Saturday. I will be a guest of The Carolina Scrollers group. I don't have all the details yet but I will be in their booth both days. I'll post more information later.

I have not attended this event in the past but I have heard they do a great job. I am told they will have over 45 vendors, Guest speakers/demonstrators, classes and more. I see that Izzy Swan and George Vondriska will both be attending the show. If you follow them on YouTube you will want to stop and say hello.

If you are in the area or can travel to the show, I would love to see you and chat. See you there.

Personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns:

I am still making good progress on ornament patterns. I should be able to get caught up today. If you have orders in the queue, keep your eye on your email inbox.

The price is $1 per name with a 5 name minimum. I keep the price as low as possible
because I want everyone to have a chance to make these ornaments for family and friends.

You only pay after you have received the order and are
100% satisfied with the patterns. Invoice included with
the pattern email. Pay by credit card(secure Paypal), check, or cash.

The patterns will be emailed to you after they are completed.
Please allow up to a week for delivery.

You can use last names on the ornaments if you like but remember that the more letters the more
difficult they are to cut. Ten letters and up gets pretty small. If you need to you can enlarge the patterns by 10% to make the interior cuts larger. No special characters are supported. I can get a hyphen in there but it looks odd. It has to connect the two letters so it does not just fall out.

$12 per sheet of 12 coins plus $3.50 shipping
Inlay with a 1" Forstner Bit.
The perfect way to sign your work.

DEWALT DW788 1.3 Amp 20-Inch Variable-Speed Scroll Saw - Yellow

As of 10/6/2019 the Amazon price is $463.99. That is below average for this saw on Amazon. At Woodcraft this saw goes for $579.99. Home Depot web site has it for $463.99 also. I love it when these guys match prices.

  • Double parallel-link arm design dramatically reduces vibration and noise for extremely accurate cuts
  • Exclusive tool-free blade clamps allow blade changes in seconds. Depth of Cut (inches): 2 in
  • On-off switch, electronic variable speed, flexible dust blower, and blade-tensioning lever all located on front upper arm
  • Arm design pivots from back of the saw to front, shortening the arm movement for smoother, quieter operation
  • Arm lifts so blade can be easily threaded through the material for inside cuts

Three Layer Angel Scroll Saw Pattern.

Download Below

This pattern has two versions. There is the ornament version pictured above and a standing version. The Ornament is cut from 1/8" thick Baltic birch plywood. The standing version is over eight inches tall and is cut from 3/4" and 1/4" Wood. I painted this one gold, yellow, and white. I think yellow was a poor choice but you can use your own judgment.

If you plan to cut the ornament from 1/8" thick BB ply then I suggest you stack cut at least two. You will find it easier to cut. If you want to try cutting a single 1/8" sheet then the proper technique is essential.

The video below is the single most important scroll saw technique you can learn. It is especially important when cutting very thin material. This is not a new video so if you have watched it before then just skip it.

Information:

Here are a couple of things I want to share.

Email Information:
This time of year I get hopelessly behind on email. I do my best to answer all emails about orders for products first. Then I start working through the other hundreds of emails. Please be patient and if you don't get an expected reply in a few days feel free to try again.

Personalized Products:
Each year I offer personalized Christmas patterns.(See below) I also do Personalized ornaments for Cats and Dogs. I don't have those ready yet but I am working on them now. The other Personalized pattern I offer is the large door ornament. I thought I had that ready but I had to make some changes. Both of these products will be available soon.

Upcoming Show:
Just a reminder that I will be attending the Artistry in Wood Show, October 12 and 13. That is this coming weekend. If you are in the area I would love to have to stop by the Bear Woods and Grobet USA booth to chat. Hope to see you there. Link to show details.
