As I often do, I included two sizes for this pattern. The small pattern is 10" wide and fits on a single sheet of printer paper. The large pattern is 13" wide and is divided on more than one sheet.
I cut the small pattern to make sure it did not have too small, interior cuts. If you cut the small pattern then you will need a #3 blade and a small drill bit. A 1/6" drill bit should fit all of the interior holes. The bird's eyes can be drilled with the same bit.
The larger pattern will be easier to cut for some and I think it looks better at the larger size.
Metro DataVac Electric Duster: I use this tool every day.
Buy on Amazon Affiliate LinkThe Metro DataVac is one of my favorite tools in my shop. If it were to break I would order another one that day. That's how much I use it.
I have a large air compressor but the DataVac is way more convenient to use. The DataVac has a 12' power cord so it can cover half of my shop without finding another outlet. This thing is very powerful. It puts out a stream of air that gets the job done. What job does it do?
I use the DataVac to clean sawdust off a project before I apply a finish. One zap and the board is clean.
When I cut veins in a project like today's raccoons there is often dust trapped in the veins. I use the DataVac to clear out the veins.
I use the DataVac for all kinds of cleaning projects I often use it to blow settled dust out the door of my shop. I use it to clean out the two computers in my shop. I have a portable AC unit that gets full of saw dust. Once a year I disassemble the unit and blow it out. Works great.
The number one usage of the DataVac is to de-dust myself before I go back into the house. I start with my glasses and even do the bottom of my shoes. It is very effective at removing all the dust.
Now for the bad news. It is not a cheap tool. The good news is that it is not a cheap tool. It is currently $84.99 on Amazon but for that money, you get a high quality and extremely useful tool.
