This fretwork wedding frame will hold a 4" X 6" image in landscape orientation. I made a couple of very slight modifications after the picture above to make it less likely to break.

Information: PDF catalog update.
I am almost a month behind on getting the PDF catalog updated. I will get it updated sometime before Sunday this week. Sorry for the delay. For those who are not familiar with the PDF catalog here are the details. This does not replace the online free catalog. This is a supplement catalog that is easier to quickly browse. I try to keep it updated every month with the latest patterns. If you want more information visit this link and watch the video. You can order the PDF catalog in my eStore. The eStore link is at the top of every post.

Video: Old American Workshop show with guest Patrick Spielman.
This old video(below) of the American Workshop with Scott Phillips is special for me. Not because it features scroll saw work but because the guest is Patrick Spielman. Mr. Spielman was responsible for introducing many people my age, and others to the scroll saw. Pat passed away back in 2004.
I think the first book I ever purchased on the scroll saw was authored by Pat. I still keep a copy of "The new Scroll Saw Handbook" on my desk. In my opinion it is the best book ever written on the subject. It was published back in 2002 and is still relevant today. It is difficult to find but Amazon often has used ones on sale from third party sellers. They can range in price drastically so look around before you buy. Here is a link to one offer.
If you want to see just how important Patrick Spielman was to our hobby, click this link and look at the books still available that were authored by him.
Disclosure: All the above links are my affiliate links. Your price stays the same and I get a small commission from the sale. Thanks for the support.
I don't know if the person who posted this video on YouTube had permission to do so but I hope so. It would be a shame to lose this part of history. I searched for a DVD of this season but the oldest they seem to have is 2008.

Another Spielman book that caught my attention years ago was "Making wooden bowls with the router and scroll saw". These bowls use a slightly different method than the technique seen today in Carole Rothman's books. His technique requires more tools but less sanding. This is another book that is difficult to find. Here is my Amazon link for this book.
