In June of 2009 I reviewed a software package named Filepick. The program is written by a very nice gentleman named Robert Briggs. The program allows you to catalog patterns in a database and recall them by picture. It does a very good job.
I released my Pattern Library software the other day and it competes with Filepick too closely. I do not want to compete with Filepick because it is a big source of income for Robert and his wife. I just don't need the money that bad to hurt the Briggs.
Robert wrote me a letter and asked why I would try to compete with his software. He was very nice about it and did not tell me I had to stop but I should. Our hobby is too small for any cutthroat behavior and I don't want to be thought of in that way. For this I would like to apologize to Robert and his wife.
I really had no bad intent I just did not think the situation through very well. I was just trying to give my readers something they ask for often.
I have decided to remove the software from the server. I deleted the posts and the video.
For anyone that gave a donation for the software just send me an email and I will make sure you get it back.
For those of you looking for a pattern cataloging software package please check out Filepick. It is $39.95 Canadian dollars and worth every penny. Filepick has many of the features you guys are looking for. If you collect patterns then you will find Filepick invaluable when you start searching for a pattern.

Think Safety
Remember to keep the safety of yourself and others in your work shop in your thoughts at all times. Always wear eye and ear protection. Follow all the manufactures warnings that came with your power tools. If I demonstrate something on this web site that you don't feel is safe, don't do it. Your safety is your responsibility. Fingers are handy things, try to keep all of them.
