This model race car is a little over 8.25" long. It is made up of seven layers of different thicknesses of wood. The body is made from 1/4" and 3/4" thick boards. The wheels are 1/2". In the rendered images above I am showing the middle layer a different color of wood to give the car a racing stripe.
I included patterns for the wheels but you can substitute 1.25" store-bought toy wheels. Here is a link to wheels at Bear Woods.

This 3D Flower art pattern comes in two sizes. The large pattern is 8" in diameter and the small pattern is 6". The pattern calls for 1/8" thick wood. Baltic birch plywood is a good choice for this pattern.

This layered basket is 8" in diameter. The pattern calls for the top and bottom to be 1/4" thick and the rings to be 1/2" thick. You can change the height of the basket by adjusting the number of rings and the thickness of the wood.
