All Personalized Signature coin orders are complete. You should have received an invoice in your email inbox. I will take the order to the post office today. Please email me if you are paying by check so I can update my records.

Thanks for the orders. If you wish to place an order for either product the links are below in this post.

You can place these ghost in your window this Halloween. You want to use battery powered tea light candles for this project.

If you want a simple project to cut with the grandkids this might be a good project to do. If they don't cut on the line nobody cares because who knows what shape a ghost really is anyway. They may need a little help with getting the slots and tabs to fit.

The project is cut from 1/4" thick Baltic birch plywood. Baltic birch plywood comes in really handy this time of year for simple holiday decorations. I try to always have a few sheets on hand.

Another Tool to make the Scroll Saw more Accessible for folks injuries/disabilities:

Warning: This tool can cause you to apply too much torque to the thumbscrew. It is not intended to be used to apply extra force to prevent the blade from slipping out of the clamp. If the blade is slipping the set screws and thumbscrews are probably worn. Never apply more than moderate torque to the thumbscrew. You will eventually break or bend the clamp.

Several months ago I put out a pattern for this simple extension shaft to make it easier for those with poor grip or sore hands to tighten the clamps on their scroll saws. Here is the link to download the tool plans.

This tool can actually be handy for those with full use of their hands. The thumb screw can make your fingers sore after long use. This can help.

Note the flat spot on the shaft and the rare earth magnet. This allows you to store the tool on the saw and keep it handy. You can also change the length of the handle to what works best for you.
With the magnet attached, you can keep the tool right on the side of the saw.
When you use the tool on the bottom clamp it is handy to have these nubs so you can easily line up the opening in the tool with the thumb screw.

Back when I released this pattern last year I also released a video showing the different methods I have used to make it easier to use the thumb screw. If you are curious about all the things I have tried to use then watch this video.

Canes for Heroes:

I received an email from the Gwinnett Woodworkers Association about a cause that I think is very special. Members of their club get together every Tuesday and make these beautiful canes for vets who need a cane. I had a chance to visit with them last year and these are beautiful canes. To date, they have made over 360 of these canes and put them in the hands of our veterans.

They have started a gofundme campaign to raise funds to keep this going. If you have a few dollars to spare they would greatly appreciate the help.

Remember to keep the safety of yourself and others in your work shop in your thoughts at all times. Always wear eye and ear protection. Follow all the manufactures warnings that came with your power tools. If I demonstrate something on this web site that you don't feel is safe, don't do it. Your safety is your responsibility. Fingers are handy things, try to keep all of them.
