This pattern will give you a little challenge. It is 10.5 inched tall and 8 inches wide. Many of the cuts will be fragile. Do the smaller interior cuts first to keep the board as strong as possible. Remember that you can make changes on the fly if you need to. If a cut looks too fragile just cut it wider. You do not always have to follow the pattern right on the line.

Hour Meter Build:
One feature many scrollers would like to have on their machine is an hour meter. The one I am building counts the 10th of an hour only while the machine is running. This is handy especially if you build projects to sell. It makes it much more accurate to decide on a price.
For this project you will need the hour meter from Amazon at this link. HOUR METER. It is currently $18.65 plus shipping.
This hour meter operates on 120vAC. Do not buy one intended to a lawn mower that wraps around the spark plug or a vibration meter. They will not work for this project.
You will need a power cord. I just used an extension cord and cut off one end.
You will need to solder the spade connectors on to the power cord. They come with the meter. It also includes insulators that should be install for safety.
WARNING... This project works with 120 volts AC. You can be seriously injured if you do not know how to work around high voltage. Have a qualified person build the project if you are not comfortable working with these voltages.
This hour meter is not reset-able. You will have to write down the count before each project unless you just want to track total run time. In the picture below the white digit are hours, the red digit is 10th's of an hour. Don't expect to see the meter rapidly turning. The red digit will advance every 6 minutes. You will hear the meter clicking while power is applied.
I am 3d printing a box so the one in the picture is just temporary. Any appropriately sized project box will work. Just cut a rectangle that is 1.5" X 1" for the meter to fit in to. We are going to plug this in to our foot switch using the outlet extension. That way the meter will only run when the machine is running. This picture shows how the meter is connected to the foot switch.
If you do not have a foot switch for your scroll saw you should buy one. They give you much more control. Here is a link to a dead mans style of foot switch on Amazon. FOOT SWITCH. A dead mans style switch means the saw runs when your foot is pressing on the switch and stops if you remove your foot. Do not buy and on/off style switch.
This box is way too big for this project. I just wanted to keep the AC covered until my box finishes printing. I'll show you the final project and mounting tomorrow.

Harper Trucks Lightweight 400 lb Capacity Nylon Convertible Hand Truck and Dolly
I purchased this hand truck for my trip to the Woodworking Show last week. I like the fact that you can set it up as a hand truck or a cart. I cut a board and placed it on the cart. It easily handled all my gear.
- Manufactured in USA; Harper exclusive I-Beam Steel-Tough nylon truss frame is factory assembled (requires easy assembly of wheels and base plate)
- 30% lighter than steel and designed for maximum strength - frame is chemical, corrosion and rust resistant for longer life
- Converts in seconds from 2 wheel dolly to 4 wheel cart - 300 lb dolly and 400 lb cart capacity (Product images illustrates both uses, but only one cart is being sold)
- 8" wheels with solid rubber tread and 3" swivel casters
- Three position telescoping handle, built-in stair glides for easy moving up or down stairs and curbs
