This Easter Bunny and Chick are 9" tall. I am showing the simulated image painted with a wash of Easter colors. This project would be easy to hang on the wall using the Command strips in the next section.
I'm hooked on 3M Command Picture Hanging Strips
I know these 3M Command picture hanging strips are not new but they are new to me. After giving them a try I am convinced they are perfect for hanging scroll saw projects on the wall.
Each pair of strips is rated for 16 lbs. It is very easy to get the project hanging straight on the wall. The strips do not damage the wall when removed. I only tested this twice but it worked those times just fine.
There are a few limitations so watch the video below to see how they work. The comments on the video talk about the instructions on the package being bad. I did not find that to be true but the print is small.
I know the product use looks obvious but there are a couple of steps that you need to follow to get a good grip.
Some folks said in the comments that removing and rehanging the picture caused the strips to fail. Honestly, I think they did not follow the directions because I removed and rehung the project several times with no problem. I'll test them again in a few days.
You get 14 pairs in the package. If the project is heavy then you may use more than one pair.
The package costs me $12.22 from Amazon. That is about 90 cents per pair.
I received this tip from Len Szmurlo. I am always looking for ways to make things easier. He told me that he has good results with these strips. Thanks Len.
Remove the number of pairs you need for the weight of the project.
Press the velcro strips together
Clean the surfaces as directed in the instructions.
Remove the glue protection strips and stick both strips to the back of the project.
Align and press the project on the wall. Hold pressure for 30 seconds.
Remove the picture and one strip will remain on the wall and the other strip on the back of the project.
Apply pressure to the strip on the wall for 30 seconds. Now rehang the project.
If you get the picture a little crooked just remove it and realign until it is straight.
