Duck Family Tray Scroll Saw Pattern.

This duck-themed tray is 8.5" wide. It is cut from 1/4" thick wood. I painted it orange. I did not have any particular usage in mind when I designed this tray. I'll let you use your imagination. Suggestions would be in the kitchen for small items. Beside the door for smartphones, wallets, and keys. Beside for small items.

To give this a more rustic country look a weathered whitewash paint might look nice. Cut the project from 1/4" red oak wood. Then use the instructions in this video to whitewash paint the piece.

Below is another option to get a nice whitewash effect. These DecoArt paints come in different colors. They get excellent reviews on Amazon.

This retirement plaque is 6.5" X 7".

My sister-in-law retired last week after a long and successful career as a librarian. I want to congratulate her and wish her a very happy retirement. You go, Annie.

Feedback from WEN Tools:

The other day I mentioned that I had contacted WEN Tools and asked if they would be interested in sending me a review unit of their relatively new WEN LL2156 21" scroll saw. I received a reply from their director of marketing today. He was interested but they have the same supply issues that all tool companies are having right now. They are extremely low on stock. I understand that completely.

He said that once they can get the inventory back up they would be willing to discuss the demo. I want to thank WEN for taking the time to reply.

I also received a couple of emails from people who have already purchased the WEN saw. Here is the comment of one of them.

Email from H.M.
I have been using the XXXXXX(Name Brand Saw) 21" saw for years but it gave up and broke the arms that hold the blades and XXXXXXX can't even get the parts so I decided to give the Wen 21" Scroll saw and try because I did not have a lot of money to spend. I got it just prior to Christmas and have used it almost every day as I am retired and love working with a scroll saw. Let me start that I have found the saw to be just as good as the XXXXXX with a much larger work surface easier to change blades and to feed the blade through a hole to cut interior cuts. It is much quieter and so far, has less vibration. The table will tilt 45 degrees in both directions with ease. I personally am quite pleased with this saw a great value for the money.
