This is a very simple pattern to cut and it is just challenging enough to be fun but easy enough for children. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would say it is between a 1 and 2 in difficulty.
I included two pattern sizes. The small pattern uses 3/4" thick wood and the large pattern uses 1" thick wood.
You do want to cut the lines accurately so you get a good fit.

I appreciate all the feedback on my question yesterday about the animations. There were mixed feelings about the usefulness of the animations.
No one complained about the animations slowing down the page loads so that was good. Most people said the animations were only really useful if the pattern was complex enough. That makes sense and is probably how I will use the animations going forward.
The animation below is an example of when they may be useful. This shows the solution for today's pattern.
