Download the Pattern Below
This plaque of two snakes fighting is 14" wide. If you have not cut patterns this large before here are a couple of options.
You can cut the project with a flat scroll saw blade and just deal with turning the large board.
You could also use a spiral blade to cut the interior cuts of the snakes. The switch to a flat blade to complete the oval frame sections. The interior cuts of the snakes are organic shapes. The inaccuracy of the spiral blade will not be too noticeable in those areas and you won't have to turn the board.
You need accuracy on the oval sections of the pattern so switch to a flat blade. Most scrollers find that they can follow a straight line and curve much easier with a flat blade.
I know that there are some of you who have excellent control of a spiral blade. If that works for you then it will make the pattern easier to cut since you don't have to rotate the large board.
