Lets make a chalkboard.

I bought a can of Krylon chalkboard spray paint. It seems to work really well. Two coats on a piece of Baltic Birch plywood made a nice chalkboard finish. I'm thinking that 1/4" MDF might make a better finish. I'll try that next. This pattern makes an 8 x 10 Notes chalkboard.

It would be pretty easy to make personalized chalkboards for kids. Just use a stencil font and add a name to the top.

Warning Beware of Cat Scroll Saw Pattern.

I had several requests for this pattern after yesterdays beware of dog pattern. I guess there are a lot of folks with guard cats out there. When I was young the only thing our cats ever guarded was his food bowl. :) -
I was browsing Youtube tonight and ran across this video. If you own a band saw do yourself a favor and watch Alex Snodgrass of Carter Products set up a band saw correctly. He dispels several myths and shows how to expertly do the job. I was doing just about everything wrong. He taught me things I though I already knew. Don't miss this one.
