Everybody loves cookies. The Oreo is probably the most beloved cookie in the world. It is sold in over 100 countries. It was first introduced in the United States in 1912. The oreo has since become the best selling cookie of all time.
This cookie is six inches in diameter. It is cut from walnut for the cookie and soft maple for the creme filling. I stack cut the two cookie halves to save time. It still took me almost two and a half hours to cut. There are over 150 interior cuts. The wood is only 1/4" thick so it's easy to stack cut.
Why make a wooden Oreo cookie? Why not. It's fun to look at and it makes people smile. That's good enough for me.
