Click to EnlargeMy daughter has a desk job. She has always suffered from muscular back pain and sitting at a desk all day does not help. A few people where she works used under desk tilted footrests to help improve their posture while sitting. This hopefully helps relieve the pain. She asked if I could make one for her that was more sturdy than the ones you can buy.
I did a bit of research and decided that a 20-degree tilt was a good place to start. I was going to make it adjustable but I am pretty confident that 20 degrees is sufficient. If not I'll just make new end pieces. I can do that because there is no glue holding the ends on. Just tapered pegs.
Of course, I had to add her name to customize it but the pattern is blank in that spot.
The place for the feet is 10" deep and 15" wide. The pattern can be easily adjusted to add more width if needed.
