These initial plaque patterns are a little over ten inches wide and tall.

One alternative material to cut these from would be Corian. Corian is not easy to find in small quantities. Some folks ask for scraps from kitchen counter installers. You can also find Corian on eBay from time to time. You also need to use the correct blade to cut Corian. A skip tooth blade has worked best for me. I prefer to cut 1/4 thick Corian. That would work well for this project.

You could also use gold leaf or metallic spray paint to add color.

Bear Woods Deals:

I received an email from Stephen over at Bear Woods. He asks if I would share a deal he is offering on the Pegas Scroll Saw. Bear Woods is located in Canada so he can offer no sales tax for US residents. He will also include a $50 Bear Woods gift card with your purchase. The $50 will get you a lot of scroll saw blades or even get you started on a magnifying lamp or footswitch accessory.

Bear Woods November coupon code is GIVES. Use that code to save 5% on all orders over $25.

Personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns are ready to order:

I am ready to start taking Personalized Christmas Ornament Pattern orders.

I can do first or last names but remember that more than ten letters will be more difficult to cut.

The order form will take up to 20 names for people and 5 names for pets. If you need more than 20/5 then start a second order.

You will not pay until you have the patterns and are 100% happy with them. There will be an invoice sent with the patterns to your email. You will have the option to pay securely with a credit card or send a check to the included address.

I am shooting for a three-day turnaround but that may be difficult for a few days until I get all the kinks worked out. I'll do my best. You can set a bookmark for each of the order forms but I will post them almost every day until Christmas.

$1 per/name with a 5 name minimum.

$2 per/name no minimum.

$12 per sheet of 12 coins plus $3.50 shipping
Inlay with a 1" Forstner Bit.
The perfect way to sign your work.

The Pegas Scroll Saw - Why is it better?

While it’s made in the same factory in Taiwan where the Excalibur scroll saw used to be made, Pegas has added Swiss precision and engineering to their scroll saw. Let’s start with a beefed-up chassis featuring a reinforced web in the connecting rod and vertical rocker and needle bearings pressed into the rocker arm as opposed to a sleeve and bolt connection that is prone to wear and failure. Next, the saw comes with the revolutionary Pegas Blade Chuck Heads installed (a $90 value). These precision-machined blade clamps, manufactured from aircraft-grade aluminum, can be adjusted easily to grip blades better than any other clamp on the market, and weigh less to reduce wear on your machine. Finally, the table boasts a thick, scratch-resistant coating that prevents corrosion and makes the wood slide easier. The saw still boasts the pr
