Mark Cappitella Discuses Puzzle Cutting Supplies.
I am going to roll with this while Mark is willing to give us some of his valuable information. Mark is back today with another video discussing puzzle making supplies and techniques.
In the video, Mark mentions the Pegas Modified Geometry scroll saw blade, The Flying Dutchman Superior Puzzle blade and more. You can pick up those blades at Bear Woods, and/or Mikes Workshop.
He talks about the material he uses to cut the puzzle. That was interesting and I learned something new about Finnish Birch plywood. He talks about mounting the image to the board from simple to advanced techniques. There is some discussion about protecting the image after it is cut and more.
If you can learn the techniques of cutting freehand puzzles they are very well received. Especially when you personalize them with integrated character shapes. For weddings, graduations, proms, and anniversaries, these will make an heirloom-quality keepsake.
