Spring is the season that makes most people feel good. We have gone through the Winter and are looking forward to nice weather. We have not quite made it to the trees getting their leaves back, but we are close. This morning, it was a bit chilly. We started out in the high 30s, but by noon, we had almost made it to the 60s. Holly and I spent extra time outside, but early on, she just wanted to sit in my lap under a blanket. The sun was shining so it was still nice.
The first pattern today is an 8" wide sign to hang on your door that expresses the beauty of Spring. This pattern is two, 1/4" thick layers with a few small interior cuts. Probably not a beginner pattern, but if you want to try it, just leave out the really small interior cuts, and it should look fine.
The second pattern is the Easter Bunny spelling out Happy Easter. This pattern uses 3/4" thick wood. The bunnies are 6" tall by 3" wide. A six-foot-long pine board should be all you need. I am showing the bunnies with a light pink wash of color. Just dilute the water-based paint with extra water to get a thin wash. Test it on scrap first.
Here is my latest AI game
I still do not have the mechanics of rotating the slices of the cube where I want them, but it is close. If you drag the mouse out of the cube, the whole cube rotates. Click and flick on the cube, and the slices rotate. It takes a little practice. There is an automatic scramble button and a reset button.
I have never solved a cube puzzle like this, but I am learning some of the strategies.
