Tiger Portrait Scroll Saw Pattern.

Tiger graphic Designed by Freepik
Edited for the scroll saw by Steve Good

I found this tiger head graphic on Freepik.com. They allow personal and commercial use of this graphic with attribution. It needed quite a bit of editing to make it able to be cut on the scroll saw. I also added the silhouette figures to the bottom.

Most portrait style patterns are cut using a spiral scroll saw blade. That is not a requirement but it often makes the cut easier. This portrait is only 8" X 10" so you could cut this with a flat blade if you are more comfortable using flat blades.

Aleen's Tacky Glue Wet/Dry:

I mentioned Aleen's Tack Glue in yesterday's post. One point I made was that Aleen's glue dried clear. This helps hide squeeze-out. The photo above shows both Aleen's Tacky Glue and Titebond original wood glue. On the left are both types of glue right out of the bottle. The right shows them after 12 hours of curing.

I think you can see why Aleen's Tacky Glue would be easier to hide. You still want to try to avoid squeeze out but when you can't then Aleen's glue is a nice option.

Peachtree Woodworking and Supply: Not an Ad.

I want to mention a resource that I use fairly often for woodworking supplies. This is not an ad. I have no affiliation with Peachtree Woodworking. I have met the owner and had a very nice conversation a few years ago while I was visiting Atlanta for a show. He took me on a tour of the Norcross retail store and warehouse. That was really interesting. The retail store is impressive. I also did a presentation there for the Gwinnett Woodworkers Association. The classroom facilities are outstanding. If you are within travel distance of Norcross Georgia you should make the trip to the store.

They also have a store on Amazon. That is an affiliate link for me so this part is an ad. Feel free to use their regular web page if you don't want to use the affiliate link. They don't carry everything in their Amazon store so the web page is more beneficial.
