Mermaid Clock Scroll Saw Pattern.

The under the sea mermaid clock might make a cute gift for a young child or grandchild. This clock is relatively easy to cut. There are only a few interior cuts. The most difficult part for new scrollers is cutting the clock mounting hole. It is best to use a large Forstner bit but they are very expensive for the large bits. You can cut the mounting hole with your scroll saw. You just want to be careful not to cut the hole too large. Stay inside the cut line and sand to fit if necessary. The clock inserts give you a little wiggle room.

It requires a 2 3/4" clock insert. Not all 2 3/4" clock inserts have the same size mounting hole. Check yours before you cut the hole. I have a pattern line for  2 3/8" and 2 5/16" mounting holes.

Here is a link to Bear Woods. They carry a complete line of clock inserts. (Disclaimer: This is an affiliate link.)

Selling Personalized Christmas Ornaments:

A few people have emailed me this year asking if it is okay to sell the ornaments made from my Personalized ornament patterns. Yes, it is fine for you to order the pattern and sell the finished ornament. I have a few people who order dozens of the patterns each year and make the ornaments to sell. That is a win for both of us.

Just remember that it takes me about three days to get the order completed and email back to you. This time is not a guarantee it is just a guideline. In the several years that I have been making these patterns, I have never gotten more than a few days behind. Just let your customer know an appropriate delivery time.

I have never raised the price of the patterns because I want you to have some meat on the bone to make a profit. I charge $1 per human pattern and $2 per pet pattern. I have people who sell the finished ornaments from $7 to $20 each.

You are welcome to use the photos below to advertise the ornaments.

Keep in mind that I retire the ornaments at the end of the holiday season. They are not available once retired.

My only request is that you not take my patterns and alter them to add the name yourself. I know this is easy to do but please give me the ability to earn from my work. I appreciate the support.

Order your Personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns:

Personalized Christmas Ornament patterns are $1 each with a five ornament minimum. Each additional name adds an extra $1 to the total. 5 ornaments = $5. 20 ornaments = $20.

After you place the order I will complete the patterns and email them to you with a payment invoice. You have to be completely satisfied before you pay.

I do not offer blank patterns. This is one of the ways I support what I do. I ask that you please not use the template to create your own custom name patterns.

My goal is to have the orders complete in three days. I will keep you posted if there are delays.

Personalized Pet Ornament Patterns are $2 each with no minimum order.

$12 per sheet of 12 coins plus $3.50 shipping
Inlay with a 1" Forstner Bit.
The perfect way to sign your work.

Pegas 21 Inch Scroll Saw.

The Pegas scroll saw is one of my daily go-to saws. I use it almost every day. I honestly cannot think of one negative with this saw. These can be difficult to get your hands on so check availability and get yours in the queue.

The Pegas Scroll Saw - Why is it better?

While it’s made in the same factory in Taiwan where the Excalibur scroll saw used to be made, Pegas has added Swiss precision and engineering to their scroll saw. Let’s start with a beefed up chassis featuring a reinforced web in the connecting rod and vertical rocker and needle bearings pressed into the rocker arm as opposed to a sleeve and bolt connection that is prone to wear and failure. Next, the saw comes with the revolutionary Pegas Blade Chuck Heads installed (a $90 value).
These precision-machined blade clamps, manufactured from aircraft-grade aluminum, can be adjusted easily to grip blades better than any other clamp on the market, and weigh less to reduce wear on your machine. Finally, the table boasts a thick, scratch-resistant coating that prevents corrosion and make the wood slide easier. The saw still boasts the precision rack-and-pinion system that tilts the saw head to make angled cuts (instead of tilting the table). It tilts a full 45-degrees to the right, and 35-degrees to the left (because of the dust collection port). It also positions all of the primary controls (speed, power, and blade tension) at the front of the top saw arm. A stand and foot switch are available.

This is the end of the daily posts. Keep scrolling for lot's more scrolls saw fun!
