Happy Father's Day.

http://www.stevedgood.com/estore/estore.html
Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. I hope you have a chance to be with your children on this day in your honor.

I have to be out of town but my daughter made me a wonderful meatloaf dinner last night. We spent time just sitting and talking. She is a great cook so I'm always thrilled to get one of her meals.

My daughter is in her late twenties now but I remember the day she came into this world like it was yesterday. When my wife was expecting, I don't think it ever actually sunk in that I was going to be a dad. In the delivery room the nurse took my daughter to clean her up. When she turned to come back I thought she was going to hand Kellie to my wife. To my shock and surprise she handed her to me. That was the moment that I understood what it meant to be a dad. Scared the hell out of me!

The only honor greater than becoming a dad is becoming a mother. It's the most important job you will ever have in your lifetime. Some days it will be the toughest job you ever have. As the saying goes, nobody lays on their death bed and says they wish they had spent more time at work. Many have said they wish they had spent more time with loved ones.

Enjoy your family and if you are traveling be safe.

Drillnado and Scrollnado Updates:

In yesterdays Drillnado video review I mentioned that the fit of the bellows to the upper housing was loose. I spoke with the inventor of the Drillnado today (Chris Buczbek). Chris told me that they have redesigned the bellow for a tighter fit. The unit I have is several months old and the problem has now been fixed.

Chris also gave me contact information that he says is okay to put out.

Chris@drillnado.com is his email address and preferred method of contact. You can also reach him at (317)946-7506

Other good news from Chris is that the Scrollnado is now available for the Excalibur and Jet scroll saws. He does not have them on Amazon yet but you can contact him for details. The Scrollnado for the Excalibur and Jet are priced at $49.99.  Scrollnado video review.

Video Review of the Drillnado Drill Press Dust Collection.

http://www.stevedgood.com/estore/estore.html
The drill press is often overlooked when it comes to dust collection. That's probably because it's a tough tool to add dust collection to. I have tried to clamp my shop vac hose to the table but that was never very efficient.

Several months ago Chris Buczbek(Drillnado and Scrollnado inventor) gave me a couple of the Drillnado drill press accessories at a woodworking show. He also gave the the Scrollnado that is dust collection for scroll saws. I installed the Scrollnado and did a video review but I never installed the Drillnado.

I decided today that I needed to give the drillnado a try. I went in the shop and did a complete video review.

There are two versions of the Drillnado. I explain the differences in the video. Here are my Amazon affiliate links to both versions.

Drillnado  $49.99
Drillnado XL  $59.99

Watch the video to see if this is an accessory that would add productivity to your workflow.

I have contacted Chris asking about the best way for potential buyers to contact him, If you have questions email me and I'll give you his information as soon as he replies. In the mean time here is a link to the Drillnado Twitter feed. If you use twitter you can send him a tweet.

While you are at it could you please subscribe to my YouTube Channel? The revenue from the YouTube videos helps support the Scrollsaw Workshop. I appreciate your kind support.

Remember to keep the safety of yourself and others in your work shop in your thoughts at all times. Always wear eye and ear protection. Follow all the manufactures warnings that came with your power tools. If I demonstrate something on this web site that you don't feel is safe, don't do it. Your safety is your responsibility. Fingers are handy things, try to keep all of them.
