Here is a small gift box with a ribbon pattern. The box is only four inches square so you can probably make it from leftover scraps. I wish I had used a darker wood like walnut for the box so the ribbon would stand out more.
The ribbon is cut from 1/8" Baltic birch plywood.
NOTE: I mentioned in yesterdays post that the DeWalt DW 788 scroll saw was on sale at Amazon. That did not last long. The price jumped $50 since yesterday. Still a good price but not as good as yesterday.
Who's Counting?
I just checked the numbers. 57,613,035 patterns have been downloaded from the Scrollsaw Workshop since it began in May of 2007. That's almost a lot. For some reason, 2013 was the highest total of downloads with 9,101,561. The next highest year was 2016 with 7,886,741. This year will fall short of second place by half a million at least.
I like to check the numbers before the Holiday season starts. October thru December account for most of the numbers for the year. The traffic on the blog will more than triple in the next three months.

Breaking Scroll Saw Blades. Problem Solved.
One of my scroll saws was breaking blades and it just kept getting worse. I finally solved the problem. Watch the video to see how I corrected the problem. Sometimes it's the little things.
